Nokia 2 is the new budget smartphone recently launched in India at a price of Rs.6,999. The phone has given buyers another option to buy a low budget smartphone. Nokia will target the buyers of low-end smartphones which constitutes 30 percent of the smartphone market.

Nokia 2 comes with the modest features and doesn’t really match up the competition in terms of specifications. However, Nokia believes that the end user will not suffer due to this as it has introduced optimisations in the smartphone. However, buyers will still look at the specifications of Xiaomi Redmi 4 and Moto C plus before making a decision to buy. Here are the differences between the three budget smartphones.

Nokia 2 Vs Xiaomi Redmi 4A vs Moto C Plus comparison of features

Nokia 2 features a 5 inch LCD display with 720p resolution. It has a polycarbonate body and aluminum frame. The smartphone is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor and has a dual sim setup. Nokia 2 has connectivity features like Micro-USB, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.1, Wifi and a 3.5mm audio jack. The smartphone has an 8-megapixel rear camera, with a flashlight and 5-megapixel selfie shooter.

The Redmi 4A is the most popular among the low budget smartphones in India. The phone has a 5 inch HD display just like Nokia 2 and a polycarbonate body. Redmi 4A is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor and also has dual sim slots. The phone has a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera for shooting selfies. Redmi 4A offers an additional advantage of more RAM and storage capacity an additional price.

Moto C Plus is another competitor for Nokia 2 in the low budget smartphone market. The phone has a 5 inch HD display with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. The internal storage is expandable up to 32 GB only while Nokia 2 supports up to 128GB. Moto C Plus is powered by a 1.3Ghz Mediatek MTK6737 quad-core processor. Moto C Plus features an 8MP rear camera and 5MP selfie camera with flash for both.

Price Comparison between Nokia 2, Redmi 4A and Moto C Plus

The Nokia 2 is launched at a price of Rs.6999/- with 1GB RAM and 8GB Storage. Moto C Plus is also priced at Rs.6999/- but with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. The phone is also available at Flipkart at a price of Rs.6499/-. Redmi 4A is available in two variants, the 2GB RAM and 16GB storage variant is priced at Rs.5999/- while the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant is priced at Rs.6999/-.

Nokia 2 customers will get unlimited uploads to Google Photos. It lacks in RAM as compared to Redmi 4A and Moto C Plus, however, Nokia 2 supports internal storage up to 128GB. Both Redmi 4A and Moto C plus are available at a lower price as compared to Nokia 2.
