Nokia 3310 to Come Soon with 4G support, 1.5 GHz Processor and Android Based OS

Nokia 3310 mobile will soon be seen in its 4G avatar as the handset has received certification from TENAA. The mobile was originally launched with 2G support and a 3G version was about to come in the last September. Nokia 3310 has passed the terms of Chinese regulators and the handset is likely to be seen Mobile World Congress in February 2018. 4G support is the major feature sought by all the customers in a mobile phone. The introduction of 4G support in Nokia 3310 will be beneficial especially for those customers who want to use high speed data in a small phone.

Nokia 3310 to have a Faster Processor and Higher Storage

Nokia 3310 is one of the bestsellers and most popular handsets of the company in 2002. Nokia has re-launched the cell phone for the sake of 3310 brand loaded with updated features and technology. Now as per the TENAA listing the new Nokia 3310 will support the 4G connectivity in India. The TENAA listing also hints at the updated features of Nokia 3310.

The upcoming handset will be powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor with 256 MB RAM and 512 MB internal storage. Despite the faster processor and more RAM and internal storage, the 4G variant of Nokia 3310  will have some features of the present variant. The phone will have the same 2.4 inch TFT display with 240 x 240-pixel resolution. Nokia 3310 will be backed by a 1200 mAh battery same as given in the standard 3310 phone.

The TENAA listing didn’t confirm anything about the addition of a larger battery in the handset. The phone was launched in 2017 as a comeback of Nokia 3310 brand at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) Barcelona last year.

Nokia 3310 to have Android-based Yun OS

Also, the older Nokia 3310 was a Symbian phone but now the company has shifted from Symbian 30 to Yun OS that an Android-based operating system. Now the Finnish phone maker will unveil its upcoming smartphones at an event in China on January 19. According to the rumours, Nokia will reveal its flagship smartphones Nokia 6, Nokia 8 and Nokia 9 in the event at China. The company will also showcase some other models in the event in addition to these flagship phones that are expected to be launched in 2018.
