Nokia Just Launched The Nokia 8 & We Think It Finally Has A Winner In Its Hands

HMD GLOBAL just launched the highly anticipated flagship from Nokia the Nokia 8. It had been in the rumour mill off late and now we may finally get to see it in flesh. It looks exactly like the pictures that leaked last week with a dual rear camera on the back which seems like a standard in 2017.

As far as the specifications on paper tell, Nokia 8 is the one to revive the Nokia brand to life.

5.3” QuadHD display :

A number of smartphone companies believe 5.5” to be the standard in its flagships to a point where Samsung and LG took it further to the famous 18:9 ratio this year. But a lot of people in the world still like to use a smaller 5” inch phone with major flagship features and that is the reason the Sony Xperia Compact range is so popular. Nokia 8 comes with a 5.3″ screen.

Snapdragon 835 Processor :

With the inclusion of Qualcomm’s flagship processor snapdragon 835 Nokia 8 has ensured that the performance will be blazing fast.

3.5mm Jack :

With most companies blindly following apple to remove the 3.5mm jack to make their phones feel premium we are glad Nokia 8 decided not to go that way. The sheer need to carry accessories to listen to your music the old-fashioned way is not exactly ‘smart’.

Splashproof :

With the IP54 rating, Nokia 8 has ensured that you can easily use your phone with wet hands or even when it rains. It is not entirely waterproof but still makes it more durable than most phones out there.

Other features of the Nokia 8:

13 MP Main Camera with OIS & another 13MP Monochrome lens

Nokia 8 has a 13MP front camera

Corning Gorilla glass protection for the screen

Fingerprint sensor

Barometer

Hybrid Dual Sim supported by Nokia 8.

4 GB of ddr4 ram and 64 GB of storage

USB Type C 3.1

Nokia 8: Price in India

With the introductory price of 36,999  INR Nokia has done an amazing job with the Nokia 8. Providing best in class features in the durable build quality of  Nokia in a price range where only Chinese companies rule is outstanding. The flagships from LG or Samsung all cost us around 50,000 INR  upwards. The only competition of the Nokia 8 here is the Oneplus 5 and the soon to be launched Xiaomi mi6.
