It is 2017 and Nokia is officially back from the dead. Nokia India just launched the Nokia 8 and it seems to do be doing great in the country. With this Nokia is readying the Nokia 9 which will apparently be a global phone and not specific to countries like India. The first pictures of the Nokia 8 successor Nokia 9 have already leaked and we have heard little whispers of the specifications as well.
Features of the new Nokia 9:
The Nokia 8 was recently launched by Nokia India and it is hitting the right note with the audiences. The Phone that was launched at a price of 36,999 Indian Rupees, has some great specifications for the price point. One of the features Nokia 8 does miss out was the bezel-less display which makes it look outdated compared to the 2017 flagships from other manufacturers. With Nokia 9 though, the company is hoping to fix that issue with Nokia 8. The most amazing piece of Specification is the presence of bezel-less display that will put Nokia India right back on the map. The phone is said to feature minimum bezels most probably with an aspect ratio of 18:9.
The Carl Zeiss Lens setup will make a comeback as well with the dual camera setup on the back of the Nokia 9. This will be the second phone from Nokia India that features a dual camera, the other being the Nokia 8.
Why Nokia 8 might still be a better flagship than the Nokia 9?
There are a few things in the Nokia 8 though that even the Nokia 9 cannot triumph. The Nokia 8 featured a headphone jack and we were pretty excited about it. Reports now allegedly mention that the Nokia 9 might ditch the headphone jack. This makes the Nokia 9 a less of a successor to the Nokia 8 which did a lot of things right in 2017 that the other manufacturers were not. Expect the memory setup to be similar to that of Nokia 8 – 4GB RAM coupled with 64GB or 128GB of onboard storage. Nokia 9 might, however, feature a 6GB RAM to justify its flagship status over the Nokia 8.

Price and Launch Date of Nokia 9:
Expect the Nokia 9 to launch in India early next year or at the MWC Barcelona. The price of the Nokia 9 has not been revealed but we hope Nokia India to price it competitively since the Nokia 8 also came at a spectacular price point.
