The Chandigarh Education Department has come up with year 2017-18 schedule for admission to nursery and kindergarten classes in all private and convent schools of Chandigarh. The process which starts from 1st December has set deadlines for various dates.
Parents are always worried about their child’s future and they want their toddler to give the best education from the best school. In Chandigarh, admission in any good private school is the toughest task for parents. If you are a parent of a young kid who is ready to go to school, it is time for you to gear up. Chandigarh education department has decided to start the admission process for Kindergarten and Nursery classes in private schools of Chandigarh from 1st of December, 2016.
The process of submission of admission forms for the session starting April 2017 in all the private schools of Chandigarh will commence from the starting of December 2016.
School Admission Process Chandigarh | Important Dates
If your toddler is also ready to start with his/her school life, then you must keep the following dates in your mind. Important dates for the admission process in private schools of Chandigarh has been mentioned below:
- 30th November, 2016: All the private schools of Chandigarh will be uploading the information with regards to number of seats, date of admission, admission criteria, age limit, documents required, fee structure date of draw on the website and notice board of the school.
- 1st December, 2016: Issuing of admission application forms. These forms will be available online on schools website as well as in the form of a hard copy from school office.
- 12th December 2016: Last date of submission of admission application forms.
- 16th- 23rd January 2017: During these days, every school will prepare a final list of students. Final list of candidates will be displayed on the notice board and website of the school.
- 10th February 2017: Last date for the submission of fee and documents for the final list candidates. This applies to all those whose names would be there in the final list.
- 15th February 2017– The waiting list of the candidates will be uploaded.
Taking into consideration the Christmas celebration in December, the administration has also shifted the dates from December 30 to January 16 for convenience of missionary schools like Carmel Convent School, St Anne’s School, St John’s High School, Sacred Heart School. The schools will have to display the list of eligible candidates on the notice board and their websites as well.
