Oneplus All Set for Launching New Phone Oneplus 5T on November 5

It turns out the recent reports of Oneplus 5 being discontinued might be true. The Onplus 5 was out of stock in most major markets and it hinted at the possibility of Oneplus 5T coming sooner than we thought. Well confirming these turn of events, Oneplus has sent out invites for the launch event of Oneplus 5T which is to be held in China. The invite does not specifically mention the Oneplus 5T but there are subtle hints that point towards the Oneplus 5T itself.

Features of the soon to be launched Oneplus 5T:

Oneplus has seen huge success in the Indian subcontinent in the last few years. Oneplus debuted in India with the Oneplus One and it has been driving crazy sales since then. The Oneplus 5 that is currently the flagship device of the company in India has established the brand as one of the top smartphone manufacturers in India. Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has it flagship Mi 6 to compete with the Oneplus 5T but strangely Xiaomi has not launched the device in India yet.

The rumoured features of the Oneplus 5T include a bigger 6-inch screen and a bigger battery. We do not expect it to come with bezel-less display since the ‘T’ translates to a minor specification bump in the Oneplus dictionary. However, a water-resistant body, wireless charging options and new colour options cannot be ruled out.

Oneplus 5T price and launch date in India:

The Oneplus 5 which is the current flagship of the company in India sells for around 35000 Indian Rupees and has no major competition. It instead makes a major dent on the flagship sales of established companies like Samsung and LG which sell their flagships at a premium of 2000INR over the Oneplus 5. With Oneplus 5T, the company is hoping to rewrite the success story and establish itself as one of the most premium smartphone manufacturers in the country. Expect the Oneplus 5T to be priced around 35000 Indian Rupees. The Oneplus 5T will go on sale in India soon after the global launch as it is the company’s second-largest market.
