Oppo, the Chinese Smartphone maker company has tweeted the launch date of the Oppo A83 smartphone in India. According to the tweet, the phone will be available in India from January 20, 2018. There were few reports that spilled over the web that the company will launch the phone on January 17 but now the company has officially confirmed the launch date of Oppo A83 smartphone. To recall, Oppo A83 smartphone was launched in China last month.
Launch Date & Price of Oppo A83 Smartphone
The new phone of Oppo will launch in India on January 20th. And the price of the phone will be Rs.13,990. At this price segment, the phone will compete with Honor 7X smartphone, Xiaomi Mi A1 and, Lenovo K8 Plus & Samsung Galaxy On Max smartphone. In China, the phone was launched in two colour variants and it is expected that the company will launch the same colours variants of the phone in India. The phone was launched in China in Black and Champagne Colours. The price of Opo A83 in China is CNY 1,399 which is approximately equal to Rs.13,900.
Specifications of Oppo A83 Smartphone
Coming to the specifications of Oppo A83 smartphone, the phone comes with a display of 5.7 inches and the resolution of the screen is 720×1440 pixels. The phone has a bezel-less display and the aspect ratio of the display is 18:9. The phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek 6763T processor which is clocked at 2.5GHz. The phone runs on Android Nougat Operating system with the company owned ColorOS 3.2.
Coming to the RAM & Storage of the phone, the phone will have either 4GB RAM or 3GB RAM. In China, the 4GB RAM variant of the phone was launched and maybe the company will launch the 3GB RAM variant of the phone in India. The internal storage of the phone is 32GB and it is expandable via microSD card up to 256GB.
Moving to the camera specifications of the phone, Oppo A83 has a 13MP rear camera for taking pictures & Videos. For selfies and video calling, there is an 8MP front camera. The rear camera of the phone comes with a LED flash. The battery of the phone is 3090mAh. The phone comes with facial recognition technology with which the user of the phone can unlock the phone. Connectivity options of the phone include 4G VoLTE, Micro-USB port, Bluetooth 4.2 and Wi-Fi. Oppo A83 is a dual sim phone.
