Panchkula, neighbouring city of Chandigarh and a prominent city of Haryana is all set to have its own IT Park soon. Land for the IT park was en-marked in the year 2007 when Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructural Development Corporation (HSIIDC) had taken the land from Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) for the development of IT Park. However, even after years, nothing had come up on that land but now the It Park of Panchkula seems to progressing to become a reality really soon.
Where is the IT Park in Panchkula?
The land where Panchkula IT Park is being constructed lies in Sector 22. This area is behind the Nada Sahib Gurudwara. It Park Panchkula will be spread over 74 acres of land and is an ambitious project of the Haryana Government. The whole area is divided into 28 industrial plots, institutional plots and some commercial sites. Apart from this, a lake, a hotel and a mall have also been proposed.
17 companies have already been alloted the plots and the construction is on full swing at many sites. Most of the companies which have been allotted plots are local Chandigarh based companies while 3-4 noida and Delhi based companies have also bought plots to set up their regional offices. According to the reports, Panchkula It Park will provide jobs to 4000 IT professionals from the region.
