Panjab University to Celebrate Rose Festival from 10th February 2017

The people of city beautiful Chandigarh always cherish nature at its best, Panjab University is all set to celebrate its 8th edition of Rose Festival at its campus. With an aim to make the campus of the university cleaner and greener, it has developed a Rose Garden in it. After the successful 7 editions of the Rose Festival in Panjab University Campus, the Horticulture division of PU is coming up with its 8th Rose Festival from 10th to 12th February 2017. The 3 days Rose Festival in Panjab University Campus is open for everyone.

Highlights of 8th Rose Festival

With the passing time, Rose Festival of Panjab University has gained a lot of popularity not only between students but also for tricity. It is not only opened for the student of different colleges and schools but it also welcomes General public to participate in their competitions.

  • Day 1- Inauguration, Flower and Photography Competitions, Fashion Competition
  • Day 2- Competitions like singing, rangoli, rose quiz, collage making, slogan writing and face painting will be held on the second day of Panjab Universty’s Rose Festival.
  • Day 3- Poetic recitation, creative mehndi, Rose prince and princess, painting and fancy dress competition will be conducted on the final day of the Rose festival at Panjab University.

Along with the varieties and colours of the flowers, people can also enjoy various competitions conducted in the rose festival. The rose festival of Panjab University not only focuses on showcasing the flowers but also provide a platform to talents of various fields through their competitions like- singing, dancing, painting, mehndi and much more.
