Panjab University (Chandigarh) May Increase Seats & Double Fee of 17 Courses | Know Details

PU Chandigarh: Panjab University located in Chandigarh has been all set to increase the number of seats and fee for many courses form 2019 onwards. PU has been planning to increase the number of seats as well as the fee from the year 2019 onwards. Although the increase in the number of seats and fees will be carried out in 17 courses of Panjab University.

A proposal has been made and is all set to be presented in front of 23 members committee constituted by the Vice Chancellor of PU. Although the decision for the same will be passed by the committee as soon as possible.

PU Chandigarh All Set to Increase Seats in these 17 Courses from 2019

Panjab University Chandigarh has proposed to increase the number of seats in 17 courses from 2019 onwards. Although the same will be increased for 17 courses under 14 departments in the categories like general, in service and fully self-financed. From 5 seats in M.Sc to 22 seats in MBA (Retail Mgmt & Banking Insurance Mgmt), PU has plans for 17 courses.

Here is the list of courses revealed by PU for seat increment- M.Sc (Microtechnology, Microbiology, UIFCs & Criminology, Nuclear medicine, Medical Physics Public Health and System Biology & Bioinformatics), LLM (UILS), MBA (Retail Mgmt and Banking & Insurance Mgmt), PG Hotel Mgmt & Disaster Mgmt, MA (Human Rights and Duties), Master in Geoinformatics & Disaster Mgmt, B.Sc (UIFT).

Here’s the Proposed Fee Structure for PU Chandigarh Courses in 2019

After the increase in the number of seats in Panjab University (Chandigarh), the proposal has been also out to increase the fee. Mostly the fee in PU will be raised under in-service category and fully self-financed category as per the new proposal. According to the proposal, there will be a fee hike of about 82% in some courses in PU (Chandigarh). Likewise, the existing fee of M.Sc Medical Physics and Nuclear Medicine is almost Rs. 41020 and the proposed tuition fee is about Rs. 75000 and Rs. 70000 respectively.

Although yet the decision regarding the number of seats and fee hike has to be taken by the committee including Vice-Chancellor of Panjab University (Chandigarh). Soon, the decision regarding the same will be out and candidates have to act accordingly.
