Lt. that is the “Pay on Delivery” Payment provider for IRCTC that now on one can book tickets under Tatkal quota for trains and pay the ticket price later. What a relief it is to find out that the IRCTC has enabled the option of pay on delivery for Tatkal bookings of train journeys.

Also, along with this now, the people who are making Tatkal bookings of trains can opt for an option of getting their tickets delivered at their doorsteps. After the delivery in hand, they can make the payment for that using cash, debit or credit card. Although these facilities were already working in case of the general reservations until now, but from this Wednesday, this facility was also enabled for the Tatkal Ticket Bookings through IRCTC.
This feature of Pay on Delivery for Tatkal tickets completely circumvents the payment gateway and is said to help the users make the booking just in few steps. This is foreseen as a step to increase the chances of bookings being confirmed under Tatkal quota.
