Phase 2 Of Rapid Metro In Gurugram Inaugurated By The CM

Gurugram, the financial and technology hub of India has got the Rapid Metro line. Manohar Lal Khattar, the chief minister of Haryana inaugurated the Phase 2 of the Rapid Metro line in Gurugram on Tuesday. The rapid metro line is a 7 km line which was opened on trial basis on March 31 in Gurugram.

The Rapid Metro line is Gurugram is between Sikandarpur and Sector 55/56 metro station. There are five metro stations on the line: DLF Phase 1, Sector 42/43, Sector 53/54, Sector 54 chowk and Sector 55/56.

Rapid Metro Line In Gurugram 

There are 11 stations between Phase 1 and 2 rapid metro and the total distance from Phase 1-2 is 11.7 km.  The second phase of the Rapid Metro in Gurugram will make the hectic lives of people easy. It will cover Golf Course Road and in sectors 42, 43, 53, 54, 55, 56 and DLF Phase 1.

The phase 2 of Rapid Metro in Gurugram opens at 6 in the morning and operates till 12:30 at night. The CM did not mention anything regarding the Phase 3 of the Rapid metro which will be connecting Sohna and Sector 55/56 metro station.

The Phase 1 of the Rapid metro in Gurugram was opened in November 2013.

A rapid metro mobile application has also been launched in order to provide convenience to the people using the Rapid metro.

The Chief Minister of Haryana said that the rapid metro in Gurugram has been launched to provide relief to the people. He said that Gurugram is a world class and a modern city which has world class roads, metros and highways. He said that the Haryana government has taken a step forward for the development of the city by proposing road and rail transport network in Gurugram.

The Chief Minister and a group of slum children took a ride on the rapid metro after the CM gave his speech. Mediapersons, Haryana government officials also took a ride with them. The best and the happiest part was that the metro was driven by a woman driver and the station controller at the last station was also a woman. The Haryana State Commissioner for Protection of Child Rights said that it was a great moment for the Haryana government. She felt happy and said it was good to see that 30 children took a ride with the CM of Haryana in the Rapid Metro in Gurugram.
