The much awaited Mango Festival 2017 is here guys! Also known as “The Mango Mela 2 will be a two day event starting from July 8 and ending on July 9. The most anticipated and loved summer festival the Mango Fest has in it a lot of fun filled activities and attractions for what people from all over the Tricity come and enjoy. For those who love mangoes, this fest is no less than a heaven for them.
A whole lot of different varieties of mangoes from all over India is brought at the fest for people to taste and take away with them. The annual Mango Mela has entered its 26th edition this year which organized by Haryana Tourism in alliance with the Horticulture Department at the famous Pinjore’s Yadavindra Gardens.
The Pinjore Mango Festival 2017
The Pinjore’s Mango Festival is organized every year at Yadavindra Gardens in mid summers upon the beginning of Monsoons. Mangoes from almost all parts of India are featured in this festival like Amrapalli, Maurya, Dhoon, Balia, Chorasya, Himsagar, Alphonso, Fazia, Shamsi, Dassehri, Malda and many other more. Various hybrid varieties of mangoes are also put up at the fest for people to taste and a prize is also given for the best hybridization.
People at the Mango fest-cum-fair apart from attending it also like to participate in it by putting up stalls where they bring their home made mango chutneys, pickles, jams, and other souvenirs fro people to buy and enjoy. You can even find mangoes in other forms as well like cakes, juices, puddings etc. Chefs from several famous inter-continental hotels of India like Taj, Maurya Sheraton, Taj, Mariott are also invited to the two day fest to make and share different recipes of mango with people.
