POWERGRID Recruitment 2019: Last month i.e in January, POWERGRID started the process of filling the application form for the post of Assistant Trainee Engineer on the basis of the 2019 GATE scorecard. The link is now active and will close on 28th February. So till then, the eligible candidates can fill the application form.
Only those candidates are eligible to apply who have appeared in the GATE 2018 examination. The candidates appeared in teh GATE 2017 or GATE 2019 need not apply for the posts. Here are the details regarding the important instructions to fill the application form and Selection Process in POWERGRID.
POWERGRID Recruitment Via GATE 2018 – Important Dates & Application Fee
The registration process for the post of Assistant Engineer Trainee has started on the official website of POWERGRID. The interested and the eligible candidates can now register themselves on the official website in the career section. The registration must be completed before the last date which is 28th February 2019.
The candidates need to enter the GATE registration ID carefully in the application form. Make sure that you will enter only the valid GATE. The application fee for the POWERGRID Recruitment 2019 is Rs 500. This application fee is only for the candidates belonging to the General and OBC category. There is no application fee for all other category candidates.
POWERGRID Recruitment Via GATE 2018 – Other Details
The selection process of candidates will be based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the relevant paper of GATE 2018 which is followed by the Group Discussion and the Personal Interview. The candidates must have qualified the GATE 2018 paper and must have secured a valid score.
According to the official notification released by POWERGRID for the post of Assistant Engineer Trainee post, there are total 42 vacancies. These vacancies are for the post of AET (Electrical), AET (Electronics) and AET (Civil). For the post of AET (Electrical), there are total 30 vacancies which are divided as 17 for General, 8 for OBC, 4 for SC and 1 for ST.
For the post of AET (Electronics), there are total 5 vacancies which are divided as 3 for General, 1 for OBC and 1 for SC. For the post of AET (Civil), there are total 7 vacancies which are divided as 4 for General, 1 for OBC, 1 for SC and 1 for ST.
