A popular Punjabi industry makeup artist Geet Brar found dead on Chandigarh-Patiala Highway on Tuesday night. The accused hit Geet Brar with 3 bullets and she died on the spot. Later some local resident found her body in the pool of blood near Star Enclave Colony in Rajpura town (Punjab). And then they informed the police regarding the murder after which Police investigated and identified her body as famous makeup artist of Punjabi film Industry.
The dead body of Geet Brar was then taken to a Civil Hospital for the post-mortem by the Police. At the initial stage of Geet Brar murder case, Police found 3 bullet marks on her body including face, neck and chest. And even a cameraman has been arrested by the police for the same.
Incident Details of Make Artist Geet Brar Murder in Rajpura (Near Chandigarh)
25-year-old Geet Brar, who was from Moga but currently a resident of Sector 40, Chandigarh found dead near a gurdwara near to local industrial focal point at around 11 pm. On Tuesday evening, Geet Brar left her Sector 40 house along the cameraman and after few hours her phone was also switched off. And then around 11 pm on Tuesday night Police got information regarding a woman dead body in Chandigarh-Patiala Highway.
And when Police went and started their investigation and found the woman as Geet Brar- a famous makeup artist of Punjabi film industry. And then under the IPC section 302, Rajpura Police registered a case against an unidentified person.
Reason & Accused arrested for Punjabi industry Make up artist murder
After just one day of Geet Brar Murder, Police found out the accused to be a cameraman of Punjabi film industry named Manjit Singh Thind (38 years). As per the reports, Cameraman borrowed Rs. 25 Lakh from Geet Brar to buy a professional camera. And also promised her to give it back in the installment of Rs. 50,000 every month but he failed. On Tuesday he asked Geet Brar to accompany him to the Bank in Rajpura for the money. After which he took her to a secluded place and killed her with his licensed 32-bore pistol.
Police grabbed accused in Rajpura-Banur highway and even recovered the pistol used in Geet Brar murder from him. At the initial stage of police interrogation, Manjit has confessed the crime committed by him.
