Famous Punjabi female singer Miss Pooja has been booked by Nangal Court. Miss Pooja, who has been the queen of Punjabi industry has been alleged of hurting religious sentiments. Although no arrest has been followed by the Police yet as they have been waiting to register an FIR for the same. Also, no statement has been made by the singer herself.
Miss Pooja, whose original name is Gurinder Kaur Kainth is also attached to BJP since 2013. And now the singer has been booked for hurting religious sentiments of Hindu community through one of her Punjabi songs. Here are the details of the case of Miss Pooja.
Here’s the reason why Punjabi Singer Miss Pooja has been Booked
A local Advocate has filed a complaint against the song of Miss Pooja & acting on the same Nangal Court has ordered for the booking of the singer. Advocate has claimed that Miss Pooja’s song Jeeju, which was released in December 2017 has hurt the sentiments of Hindu community by posing Yamraj as a drunker. And acting on the same SHO of Nangal has ordered the court to file a case against Miss Pooja under the IPC Section 295A, 499 & 500.
The song Jeeju by Miss Pooja that was released in December 2017 under the label of Speed Records has portrayed Yamraj as a drunker & the same was played by the actor Harish Verma. Actually, the scenario of the song showcased the fight between husband & wife, who sees her Husband as Yamraj after he is drunk.

As of the now the Police has been waiting for FIR to be registered against the singer Miss Pooja for further investigation & action. Also, the complainant has mentioned the name of actor Harish Verma, Speed Records (Music company) & Bidowale Fram Singh (video production firm) for the same. As he in the complaint has mentioned that Hindu use to worship Yamraj with a Gada & a Gada has been the weapon of many other Gods as well, which has to be respected. And portraying the same in the music video like a drunker has surely insulted the Hindu religion.
Let’s see whether the singer will be arrested or the company will remove the clip from the song & apologize to the people?
