Bollywood is the ultimate dream of every actor/ actress & the same has been followed by famous Punjabi singers as well. From Diljit Dosanjh to Gippy Grewal, most of the known faces of Punjabi singer cum actors have debuted their Bollywood acting career & gained fame.

Punjabi songs have been one of plus point for any of the Bollywood & now the table has turned as most of the Punjabi singers have been debuting as Bollywood stars.

Famous Punjabi Singers Now in Bollywood

Diljit Dosanjh

Starting from the handsome Super Singh with the turban, Punjabi singer cum actor Diljit Dosanjh has made his Bollywood debut with Udta Punjab alongside with Kareena Kapoor Khan in the year 2016. Also for the same, he won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. Although before to this, in the year 2012, Diljit Dosanjh has also given a special appearance in the movie Tere naal love hogaya movie song Pee pa pee pa that has been picturised on Genelia Dsouza & Reitesh Deshmukh. After Udta Punjab, he has done a Bollywood movie with Anushka Sharma titled as Phillauri.

For the coming years, Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh has signed a number of upcoming Bollywood movies like- Soorma and even rumors are there that Diljit Dosanjh will be sharing screens with Taapsee Pannu & Kriti Sanon soon.

Gippy Grewal

Another famous Punjabi singer cum actor, Gippy Grewal has debuted his Bollywood acting career with movie Second hand husband in 2015. Recently he came up with a Bollywood movie Lucknow Central, where he shared the silver screen with Farhan Akhtar. Before his Bollywood debut as an actor, Gippy Grewal has recorded many Bollywood songs like- Angreji beat (Cocktail), Chitta kukkad (Loveshudda ft. Neha Kakkar), Khulke dhulke (Befikre ft. Harshdeep Kaur) & many more.

Although Gippy Grewal has also directed a superhit Punjabi movie in 2016 titled as Ardaas. Before to Bollywood, Gippy Grewal debuted career in Punjabi films with Mel Karade Rabba movie in 2010. And he has been looking out for some more projects in near future in Bollywood.

Guru Randhawa

After Diljit Dosanjh & Gippy Grewal comes the name of the new addition in the list is Guru Randhawa. Not in the field of acting but Guru Randhawa has left a mark of his voice in Bollywood with his very first song Suit featured in the Bollywood movie Hindi Medium. After getting recognition from the industry there was no looking back for the High rated gabru, Guru Randhawa has recorded many tracks for hit Bollywood films like- Ban ja rani (Tumhari Sullu) & Lagdi hai thaai (Simran).

Many of his Punjabi tracks like- Outfit, Patola, Lahore (recent), Fashion & so on may also be featured in any of the upcoming Bollywood movies. And we hope the same.

Jassie Gill

Now comes the name of the female heartthrob, Jassie Gill who is all set to debut his Bollywood acting career this year only. Following the path of Diljit Dosanjh & Gippy Grewal, Jassie Gill is also debuting his acting career with the sequel of Superhit Bollywood movie Happy Bhag jayegi. And the Punjabi singer will be sharing the screen for his debut movie Happy Bhaag Jayegi 2 with Sonakshi Sinha & Diana Penty, that will be released in 2018 only.

Punjabi singer started his movie debut with Mr & Mrs 420 in 2014 & won the Best Debut Actor Male in PTC Awards nights. Hope to see him soon on the silver screen with big Bollywood stars.
