The game, a progressive jackpot slot, is based on the 1996 sci-fi film by Tim Burton and features many symbols of the film. The game was only launched in January of this year – and sources say that Sean was only an online gaming customer for six months, prior to his win.
The 33-year-old picked up the biggest online win in the company’s history and told the Belfast Telegraph: “I watched it until it reached about £1 million on the count thing and I switched off my phone. I couldn’t look. When I got home, I couldn’t believe my eyes after I saw the final amount!”
“My sister is a single parent in New Zealand with three kids so I’m delighted because this means I will be able to help her out. I also have three brothers, my parents and a few aunts and uncles too”.
However, it was business as usual and the chef at The Artisan Cookhouse in Strangford. Sean reported to work the following morning at 9am – on Valentine’s Day, notoriously a busy day amongst restauranteurs.
