Racing on Chandigarh Airport Road In Mohali Proves Costly For Two | Speeding Cars Collision

Racing on the Chandigarh airport road in Mohali has left two persons injured. Street races often lead to serious car accidents and wrongful death. It has been seen that in several such street races, innocent people get injured and the racers usually don’t get hurt.

Car racing on Chandigarh Airport Road In Mohali Proves Costly 

The car racing incident in Mohali too proved costly for two persons. The race between a Renault Kwid and Maruti Swift ended in a shocking accident. The riders, speeding their Maruti Swift met with an accident on the Airport road in Mohali while racing parallel to a Renault Kwid. The riders in the  Maruti Swift escaped with injuries

According to the report, the speeding Maruti Swift car hit another vehicle on the Airport Road in Mohali after the driver lost control of the vehicle. The victims have been identified as Mohan Singh and RK Aggarwal who work with a bank and belong to Ludhiana, Punjab. Surprisingly, the Swift car bore a plate with ‘Bharat Sarkar’ inscribed on it above the front as well as the rear number plate.

Eyewitnesses’ account of the accident

According to the report, eyewitnesses revealed that the incident took place when occupants of a Renault Kwid car and Maruti Swift car were engaged in a racing competition. It was reported that both the vehicles – Renault Kwid and Maruti Swift were coming at a very high speed from Indian School of Business (ISB) side and were heading towards Chandigarh.

Eyewitnesses stated that when both the vehicles Kwid and Swift approached the AC fruit and vegetable market, driver of the Maruti Swift car lost control over the vehicle and hit the divider. The speed of the vehicle was such that it jumped to the other side of the road immediately after hitting the divider. After jumping on the other side it rammed into a Toyota Innova that was coming from the opposite side.

Thrill turns into nightmare

Racing turned into a nightmare after the brand new Swift car was badly damaged in the accident. Both the occupants Mohan Singh and RK Aggarwal escaped with minor injuries. The duo managed to survive because the airbags in the car that opened instantly otherwise it could have been fatal for both of them.

It was reported that only the occupants of the Swift car received injuries in the accident while the occupants of Innova, that was coming from the opposite side are safe. According to the police the occupants of the Renault Kwid car fled the spot leaving their vehicle behind.
