Everyone knows that how popular is the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 smartphone in India. The phone comes with so attractive specifications at a budget price that makes the Redmi Note 4 different from all other players. But it’s been over a year after the launch of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 in India and now people are eagerly waiting for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 smartphone – successor of Redmi Note 4.
From the beginning of this year, Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is silent and there is no news about any new launches of the company so far. And this may continue until the January end. But now the Xiaomi India PR lead Clinton Jeff has promised that the coming month will be an exciting month and there will new launches in the month of February. So with this, it can be expected that the Xiaomi will launch the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 smartphone in India next month. But there are few chances of the launch of Redmi Note 5 and company may launch the Xiaomi Redmi 5 & Redmi 5 Plus in India.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Launch Date in India
Xiaomi smartphones have a huge fan base in India and this can be understood by the sale of smartphones. That is why people are waiting for the launch of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 smartphone but few recent reports show that Xiaomi will launch the Redmi Note 5 smartphone until the second quarter of 2018 because the company is waiting for a new processor and doesn’t want to give Snapdragon 630 SoC. Snapdragon 630 is just a minimum upgrade to Snapdragon 625. Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, Xiaomi Mi Max 2 & the Xiaomi Mi A1 uses the Snapdragon 625. So maybe we’ll have to wait for few more months to get the Redmi Note 5 smartphone.
Xiaomi Redmi 5 & Redmi 5 Plus Launch Date
Xiaomi will soon launch the Redmi 5 & Redmi 5 Plus smartphone in India. Last week, there are few reports that say that the company will launch the Redmi 5 smartphone in India by the February end. Until the arrival of Redmi Note 5, these two phones will replace the likes of Redmi Note 4. To recall, Redmi 5 & Redmi 5 Plus was launched in China in December 2017.
Redmi 5 & Redmi 5 Plus offers identical specification with some changes. Redmi 5 smartphone comes with a 5.7-inches HD+ display with a resolution of 720×1440 while the Redmi 5 Plus offers a 5.99-inch display with 1080×2160 pixels. Both offer 18:9 aspect ratio. The first one is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 450 SoC while the other one is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 625 SoC. The phones run on Android Nougat OS with MIUI 9.
Talking about the RAM & Storage, in Redmi 5 there is 2GB/3GB RAM while the latter one offers 3GB/4GB RAM. The internal storage of Redmi 5 is 16GB/32GB and the second one has 32GB/64GB storage. The camera is same on both smartphones. There is a 12MP camera at back and a 5MP camera in front. The front camera comes with soft LED flash. At the back, there is a fingerprint sensor. There is a 3300mAh battery in Redmi 5 while the Redmi 5 Plus offers 4000mAh battery.
