In the month of May 2018, Reliance Jio saw a growth of 30 percent in the download speed. This is a huge increase in the download speed of Jio. In the month of March & April, Reliance Jio saw a decline in the download speed. According to the TRAI’s Myspeed app, the download speed of Reliance Jio 4G increased in the month of May by 30 percent.

According to data report shared by TRAI, in the month of May 2018, the downloading seed of Jio was 19 Mbps. Earlier in the month of April, the downloading speed of Jio was 14.7 Mbps. March & April month saw a decline in the speed of Jio. In the month of February, the speed of downloading in Jio was 21.3 Mbps. Reliance Jio hit the peak downloading speed in the month of December last year. In the month of December 2017, Jio records the downloading speed of 25.6 Mbps.
Airtel, Idea & Vodafone Downloading Speed in May
After Jio, the second place in the downloading speed is grabbed by Airtel. In the month of May, the downloading speed of Airtel was 9.3 Mbps. In the month of April, this year Airtel records the downloading speed of 9.2 Mbps. The 3rd position in the downloading speed is grabbed by Vodafone. Vodafone downloading speed in the month of May was 6.8 Mbps which is 12.2 Mbps less than the speed of Jio.
The 4th position in the downloading speed is grabbed by the Idea Cellular. The downloading speed of Idea Cellular was 6.5 Mbps. Its downloading speed was near to Vodafone but too less than the speed of Jio. In the month of April, Vodafone recorded speed of 7.1 Mbps and Idea recorded 7.4 Mbps.
Uploading Speed of Jio, Airtel, Idea & Vodafone
Now moving to the uploading speed of the telecom operator. In this Idea Cellular is on the first position. Idea Cellular records the uploading speed of 6.3 Mbps. The second place in the uploading speed is grabbed by Vodafone. Vodafone records 5.2 Mbps uploading speed in the month of May.
Jio and Airtel are on the 3rd and 4th place. Jio on the third position records uploading speed of 4.8 Mbps and Airtel records 3.8 Mbps. In the month of April, Idea uploading speed was 6.5 Mbps, Vodafone speed was 5.2 Mbps, Jio uploading speed was 4 Mbps and Airtel uploading speed was 3.7 Mbps.
