Reliance Jio 4G Pumps Up Its Speed With New Spectrum & Here’s How It Will Impact Users

Reliance Jio 4G has created a whirlwind in the telecom industry since its launch tossing away the telecom companies like Airtel, BSNL, Idea, Vodafone and others around it.

The speed and plans that Reliance Jio 4G offers is far better from what other companies deliver and to make its speed more better it has now introduced an extra spectrum to increase its total spectrum by 20%-25%. So now, it is estimated that the speed of Jio 4G will go up to 50-60 MHz.

Reliance Jio 4G Spectrum

Reliance Jio purchased a 10MHz block in October last year in an auction. That 10MHz block has been separately added in the Band40 Operation Band. The benefits that now people can enjoy with Reliance Jio 4Gs new spectrum:

  • Offers ‘Carrier Aggregation’ to more Jio 4G circles
  • Beneficial to mid-high priced phone users
  • The new 10MHz can deliver speed of around 20 Mbps

In order to enjoy Jio 4G increased spectrum speed the must have things include:

  • A phone or dongle that supports Category 6 LTE or more
  • Snapdragon 650, 652 and 625 chipsets.

Jio 4G offers 4 to 5 carriers of 20 MHz, 10 MHz and 5 MHz. In Mumbai, Reliance Jio has already introduced the carrier aggregation technology.

Following the footsteps of Bharti Airtel that introduced the technology of carrier aggregation in 2016, Reliance Jio 4G has made its service yet more powerful by becoming the second telecom company to do that.

According to sources, Bharti Airtel has not yet started its 10MHz carrier and has a slow-filling 4G network

Reliance Jio 4G and IDEA 4G

With the introduction of the second Band 40 carrier Idea 4G has also purchased the 10Mhz block in the same band.
Idea 4G will now offer boosted speed in three circles- Kerala, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.
Jio has bought one 10MHz block for each of its circles, Bharti Airtel purchased in 19 circles and Idea for the rest of the three circles.

Jio is filling up its largely empty 4G network quickly by deploying extra carriers and carrier aggregation in various circles.
