Reliance Jio 4G Laptop Will Soon be a Reality | Jio in talks with Qualcomm to Launch Laptops

Soon the telecom operator Reliance Jio will launch its Jio 4G Laptop with sim slot and cellular connectivity. Reliance Jio entered the telecom industry in the year 2016 and took the industry by storm with its free services. To expand its portfolio, Jio’s next big project is the laptop segment. Soon this will be a reality – A laptop with a sim card. Mukesh Ambani led Jio is in talks with Qualcomm to bring the 4G laptop.

Reliance Jio 4G Laptop Launch Date

As of now, the company is in talks with the US chipmaker Qualcomm to bring out a laptop that comes with the built-in cellular connection. So, this may take some time probably few months for the launch. But it can be expected that the Jio Laptop will see the light of the day by the end of this year. Just like the 4G feature phone, Jio Laptop with cellular connectivity will take the Laptop industry by storm.

The Jio Laptop will come bundled with Windows 10 obviously as it is the latest operating system. Reliance Jio and Qualcomm are already in works to launch the new 4G feature phone. The new 4G laptop comes with a sim slot and it is known to everyone that Jio is providing 4g connectivity to all its users. With this laptop users need not to depend on any WiFi network or any other source of connectivity. The company will also launch special tariff plans and data packages for the new laptop.

Jio Laptop WIth Cellular Connectivity

According to the Miguel Nunes, Senior Director, product management of Qualcomm Technologies, Reliance Jio can take the device and can be bundled it with content and data. As of now, Qualcomm is already working Always Connected PC with companies like HP, Lenovo, and Asus. Smartron, the homegrown Internet of Things brand is also working with the US Chipmaker Qualcomm to bring laptops with cellular connectivity.

According to the reports of Counterpoint data, approximately 5 million laptops are sold in India every year and most of them get connectivity from the public, home or enterprise WiFi spots. After smartphones, the cellular connectivity laptops will be the next big thing.
