Reportedly, the Reliance JioPhone is working on to install the instant messaging application – WhatsApp on its feature phone. The budget 4G VoLTE feature phone is gearing to receive the support in order to install the WhatsApp application on their phones for customer convenience. However, there have been no official announcements regarding the same but the same is being worked upon.

Reliance JioPhones are working to get the WhatsApp application on their feature phone and if all goes well, all the Reliance JioPhone users will soon be able to connect and converse through WhatsApp. The Reliance JioPhone emerged as the best selling featured phone in the last quarter of 2017 and has reportedly made a sale of millions of units even since its launch.

Recently, Facebook, which is the parent company of Whatsapp had made an announcement marking the launch of the Facebook application for all the Reliance Jio mobile phones. Similarly, the previous year saw Google announcing the launch of the Google Assistant for all the ones making use of the JioPhone.Currently, the WhatsApp application is being used by approximately 1 billion people who are spread in over 180 countries. The WhatsApp application is a free, simple, safe as well as secure option to connect and converse with your knowns nearby as well as abroad.

Apart from text conversations, you can opt for the video calls as well as WhatsApp calls. Reportedly, WhatsApp is known to be working on the native app for KaiOS which is a web-based operating system and has been designed for the JioPhone and has been forked from Firefox OS. Earlier, Mozilla gave it a try to create a base for the applications with the help of HTML5 but was not able to do so.
