Riya stated that the victory means a lot for her as this win, for her is an asset for a lifetime. Competing against contestants from cities like Delhi, Mumbai et al Riya was the only competitor with no experience in the big fashion world.

In the bikini round of the show – India’s Next Top Model, Riya Subodh revealed that she had always wanted to be a part of the show since she saw Season 2 of the popular reality show on MTV – India’s Next Top Model.
Riya also told that she did not have a cable connection at her home due to which she was not able to see the first season of the reality show. It was the second season India’s Next Top Model that she saw with her family and got inspired to participate in the next season.
After being crowned the India’s Next Top Model, Riya credited her success to her parents. She stated that it was because of their effort and support that she was able to win the title. Winning the title was one of the dreams that Riya saw and fulfilled with the support of her family.
