RRB ALP Exam Tomorrow – Update on Pattern & Tips to Crack 1st Stage CBT Exam

The Railway Recruitment Control Board (RRB) is conducting the Ist Stage CBT RRB ALP Exam from 9th August to 31st August in shifts. The next exam is on 21st August. RRB ALP Exam 2018 – Tips To Crack Exam

The question paper of the Railway Recruitment Board Assistant Loco Pilot and Technician Exam will questions from four sections – Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, Awareness & Current Affairs and General Science. Candidates appearing for the exam are advised to maintain the positive outlook while attempting the Mathematics section. Practice Mock test papers as this will give a brief idea about the questions.

For the General Science section, candidates must focus on the Science, technology, and Biology topics. So start the preparations from these sections. Focus on the observations, utilisation, and knowledge rather than cramming facts. For the Reasoning ability, learn and know the basics by reading books. Understand the basics of the topic of each topic. The General Awareness sections will mostly have questions based on current affairs, recent happenings, and General Knowledge. This section of the Railway Recruitment Board ALP & Technician Exam will test the General Knowledge of the candidates.

Start with that section first in which you are perfect as this will help in saving time. If you start with the difficult or the lengthy section first then there are chances that some easy questions will be left unattempted. So first attempt the easy questions. General Knowledge and Current affairs questions take less time, so do that questions first.

RRB ALP Exam Pattern

The Mathematics Section of the Railway Recruitment Board ALP Exam and Technician Exam will have 20 questions, General Intelligence & Reasoning will have 25 questions, General Science has 20 questions and there will be 10 questions from the General Awareness & Current Affairs. For these 75 questions, there will be only 60 minutes. This means that there is less than one minute to attempt a single question.

Start attempting from the General Awareness and Current affairs. This section will only have 10 questions and it will not take more than 5 minutes to attempt. After that go with the General Science. This section includes
-questions and candidates hardly need 7-10 minutes to attempt. In short, the 30 questions of the General Science and Awareness & Current Affairs can be attempted in 12 – 15 minutes. Now candidates will have 45 minutes to attempt the 45 questions. Now start with the easy one questions of Mathematics section and Intelligence & Reasoning Section. Don’t start with a lengthy one. For each wrong answer there is negative marking.

RRB ALP & Technician Exam 2018 – Qualifying Criteria

The first stage CBT Exam of the Railway recruitment Board ALP and Technician Exam is qualifying in nature. The marks of this paper will not be included in the final merit list. But the candidates who will clear the Ist stage will only go for the second stage RRB CBT exam. For the General Category, the minimum number of marks required to qualify is 40%, For OBC 30%, For SC 30%, and for ST 25%.
