RRB JE Recruitment 2019 | Check Ist Stage & Second Stage CBT Examination Pattern

RRB JE Recruitment 2019: Starting this month, the Railway Recruitment Control Board started the process of filling the application form for the JE and other posts. The process of filling application form started on 2nd January 2019. The candidates who want to fill the application form online can fill their form on the official website. The process of filling the application form will close on 31st January 2019.

The Railway Recruitment Board has invited applications from candidates for the post of JE, Assistant, and Superintendent. There are total 13487 vacancies for all these posts. There are total 12844 vacancies for the JE post, 29 for JE (IT), 227 for the Superintendent and 387 vacancies for the Assistant.

RRB JE Recruitment 2019 – Ist Stage CBT Exam

The Railway Recruitment Control Board will conduct the Ist Stage CBT Exam for the various posts in the month of April/May 2019 tentatively. The selection process will include the Ist stage CBT exam, 2nd stage CBT exam and the Document verification/Medical examination. The first stage CBT Exam for the Railway JE and other posts will be common for all the posts. The duration of the CBT exam will be 90 minutes and 120 minutes for the PwBD candidates. There will be total 100 questions in the CBT exam.

There will be four sections in the Ist stage CBT exam conducted by the Railway Recruitment Board for the JE and other posts. The section in the exam includes Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness and General Science. The Mathematics section will have 30 questions of 30 marks. The General Intelligence & reasoning section will have 25 questions of 25 marks. The General Awareness section will have 15 questions of 15 marks and the General Science section will have 30 questions of 30 marks. For the UR category, the minimum percentage required to pass is 40%, 30% for OBC, 30% for SC and 25% for ST category

RRB JE Recruitment 2019 – 2nd Stage CBT Exam

The candidates who will clear the Ist Stage CBT exam will be shortlisted for the 2nd Stage CBT exam. The total number of candidates shortlisted for the 2nd stage CBT exam will be 15 times the total posts category wise. The duration of the second stage CBT exam will be 120 minutes and there will be total 150 questions. In the second stage CBT exam, there will be 5 sections.

The second stage CBT Exam will have total 15 questions from the General Intelligence, 15 questions from the Physics & Chemistry, 10 questions from the Basics of Computer and Applications, 10 questions from the Basics of Environment & Pollution Control and 100 questions from the technical Abilities section. The minimum passing percentage remains the same as the Ist stage CBT exam.
