RRB Recruitment 2018 – Group C (ALP & Technician) Syllabus Update for CBT Exam

RRB Recruitment 2018: In the month of February Railway Recruitment Board released the official notification for the RRB Group C Posts (Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) & technician) and RRB Group D posts. The online application process for the RRB Group D and RRB Group C posts started in the same month and the last date for the application was 31st March 2018.

There are total 26502 vacancies in RRB Group C and 62907 vacancies for the Group D posts in RRB. For these, the Railway Recruitment Board received more than 2 crore applications. The exam dates and admit card are still on hold and the RRB will soon release the exam date for the RRB Group C and RRB Group D posts.

RRB Recruitment 2018 Group C (ALP & Technician) Syllabus

First Stage CBT Exam: The first stage CBT(Computer Based Test) for the Railway Group C posts includes questions from Mathematics, General Awareness, Intelligence, reasoning and General Science. The syllabus for the first stage CBT exam for Group C posts includes Number System, BODMAS, HCF and LCM, Profit and Loss, Elementary Statistics, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry,Decimals, Fractions, Ratio and Proportion, Age Calculations, Simple and Compound Interest, Square root, Calender and clock and Pipes and Decimals, Fractions, Ratio and Proportion, Age Calculations in the Maths section.

As per Railway Recruitment Control Board, the Current Affair & General Awareness section, questions from Science & Technology, Politics, Sports, Culture and other important subjects will be asked. General Intelligence will include questions from Coding, Decoding, Venn Diagram, Reasoning, Sufficiency, Number Series, Jumbling words, Directions and Assumptions and Arguments.

Second Stage CBT Exam: The second stage CBT exam will have same subjects but with the addition of the Basic Science and Engineering. The syllabus for the Mathematics subject, Intelligence and reasoning will remain same as the first stage CBT. The extra topics to be covered in this are – Engineering Drawing, Mass Weight & Density, Speed, Velocity, Symbolic Representation, Heat & temperature etc.

The first stage CBT exam is same for the RRB ALP & technician posts. The candidates will be asked 75 questions and the time to attempt 75 questions will be 60 minutes, All the questions will be objective type questions.

RRB Group C Admit Cards 

It is now more than one and half month since the last date of application for the post of RRB Group C Recruitment 2018 (ALP & Technician). The online application for the Group C Posts in Railway Recruitment Board 2018 was closed on 31st March. And as per the notification the exam is scheduled to be conducted in the month of April/May. Since April has passed and half of the May month is also passed so now it is sure that the exam for the RRB Group C posts (Assistant Loco Pilot & Technician) will be conducted after June.

As there is no official notification from the side of Railway Recruitment Board for the CBT Exam dates for the Group C posts. And there is no release date for the Admit card for the First Stage CBT exam. This is due to a large number of application received by the Railway recruitment control board for the Group C and Group D posts. More than 2 crore applications are received by the RRB for the 90,000 posts.

According to some sources, the Railway Recruitment Board is finalising the examination centres for the exam and soon will release the admit cards for the RRB Group C posts. The RRB Group C posts exam will be conducted first and the RRB Group D exam will be conducted second. This is because there are fewer vacancies in RRB Group C posts (26,502) as compared to the vacancies in Group D.
