The 7th Wg Cdr S S Gyani Memorial Cricket Tournament for boys, will be hosted by St Soldier’s School, Sec 16 in its Cricket Ground from 1st October to 7th October 2016.
Capt (Retd.) A J Singh, Managing Director, St. Soldiers School, Panchkula will inaugurate the tournament.
Eight teams are participating in the tournament from various schools of the tricity, in the tourney, which is being played on a knock out basis. Over the years, the tournament has carved a name for itself in the region and provides an excellent platform for young high school level players to perform.
This year, Chaman Lal DAV, Sec-11, Panchkula, DC Model, Sec-7, Panchkula, Holy Child, Morni Hills,Panchkula, Jainendra School , Sector-1 , Panchkula, Pinegrove School, Solan (H.P.), Baptist School, Chandigarh, The Gurukul, Sec-20, Panchkula and the host School St Soldier’s, Sec-16 , Panchkula will play for the trophy.
“The tournament is hosted by St. Soldiers’ School, Panchkula every year in the memory of its Founder Wg Cdr SS Gyani who was a great visionary, educationist and cricket lover.” Said Ms. Renu Diwan, Principal, St. Soldier’s Public School.
