Salary Revision Policy to Change after 7th Pay Commission | No 8th Pay Commission?

The process of salary revision of the central government employees has been undertaken by Pay Commission since the independence of the country. There is no doubt that 2017 has been a critical year for the financial changes in the history of the country. Now, there have been rumors spreading all around that the government is planning to change the process of the salary revision in the country.

According to some of the reliable sources, the word is out that 7th Pay commission will be the last pay commission to hold the authority of revising the pay matrix of the central government employees. As off now no official notification justifying this news has been published or announced by the official sources of the government.

No 8th Pay Commission After 7th Pay Commission  

Since the independence of the country, the procedure of revising the salaries of the central government employees has been the responsibility of the Pay Commission. According to the policy, the salaries of the central government employees were revised after every decade and that was handled by the appointed pay commission. Under this policy, 7th CPC has been operating to increase the pay scale of the government employees. There are many sources who claim that the government is thinking over changing the policy of salary revision entirely diminishing the role of CPC in it.

New Salary Revision Policy As per the Sources After Seventh Pay Commission

Although the news has not yet been officialized by the authorities, there have been rumors that after 7th Pay Commission, there will be no 8th Pay Commission and the policy of the salary revision will entirely change. If the rumors are to be believed, the government is planning to bring forth the yearly salary revision system to the country.

Presently, according to the system salaries of the government employees is revised after every 10 years through the recommendations of the CPC. This news has been floating online for quite some time now and still the government has not commented on the matter. We have no clue what will the end of 7th CPC bring and will there be the formation of 8th CPC or not.
