Savita Bhatti has been appointed as the brand ambassador for the Swachh Bharat campaign by the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation. Satirist and artiste Savita Bhatti, wife of the late satirist Jaspal Singh Bhatti, is all set to reach out to the people in Chandigarh to aware them regarding the Swachh Bharat Mission.
Wife of late comedian and actor Jaspal Bhatti, Savita Bhatti will be seen endorsing numerous cleanliness awareness programs across Chandigarh, the joint capital of Punjab and Haryana for retaining the ‘City Beautiful’ tag of Chandigarh. Municipal Corporation Chandigarh has roped in Savita Bhatti for her efforts that she has put in to raise social issues on the national level.
Swachh ambassador Savita Bhatti’s plan of action
According to reports, Savita Bhatti, who has been appointed as the brand ambassador for the Swachh Bharat campaign by the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation will focus on segregation of waste at source. It has also been reported that Savita Bhatti has plans to organize ‘Nukkar Natak’ and other such activities for creating awareness among the masses.
Elated at the newly handed over role, Savita Bhatti also plans to draw a meticulous layout plan and execute the Swachh Bharat Mission by working systematically. Savita Bhatti aims at reaching the maximum number of people to create awareness through numerous public activities such as street plays, campaigns, local events, et al.
Chandigarh Municipal Corporation’s aim
Chandigarh Municipal Corporation has further plans to engage celebrities in Swachh Bharat campaign for Chandigarh as celebrities are considered as the role models to the people. MC Chandigarh also plans to encourage top hotels, hospitals and other organisations to take part in the campaign.
To execute the Swachh Bharat campaign in a better way, the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation plans to organise community activities to aware people of the campaign. The activities, to be organized by the MC Chandigarh will include hand wash fairs, street plays besides local/ward-level cleanliness drives. The body also plans to initiate internal campaigns such as the ‘Best Driver’ and ‘Clean Employee of the Month’ to encourage the employees as well.
