SBI Slashes IMPS Charges Up to 80% | No IMPS Service Charges Under Rs 1000

If you are an SBI (State Bank Of India) customers then this news is a relief for you. The good news for SBI customers is that now you will have to pay up to 80 percent fewer IMPS (Immediate Payment Service) charges on the transaction. State Bank Of India has slashed the IMPS charges up to 80%. SBI announced this on their Twitter Handle with a tweet “Go Cashless with SBI: IMPS service charges now slashed up to 80%,“.

After this now the online transactions have now become cheaper. According to latest revision in IMPS there will no charges on transaction up to 1000. To recall in the month of January SBI reduced the NEFT and RTGS charges too up to 75%.

New Revised IMPS Charges of SBI

After the revision in IMPS charges, Now SBI users will have to pay 80% less amount as IMPS charges then what they are paying earlier. Here are the full details of new IMPS charges on transactions:

No IMPS Service Charges on online Transactions under Rs.1000. Now there will be no charges on transaction up to Rs.1000.
Customers will be charged Rs.1 as IMPS Service Charges on Online Transactions between Rs.1000 to Rs.10000.
Customers will be charged Rs.2 as IMPS Service Charges on Online Transactions between Rs.10001 to Rs.100000.
Customers will be charged Rs.3 as IMPS Service Charges on Online Transactions between Rs.10001 to Rs.100000

All these new IMPS charges are effective from 15th October 2017. After these changes in IMPS (Immediate Payment Service) charges now the transaction will become cheaper.

SBI NEFT and RTGS Charges

In the month of January SBI reduced the charges for NEFT and RTGS transactions. In January SBI reduced RTGS and NEFT charges up to 75%. The reduction in NEFT and RTGS charges are applicable on the transactions which are made via Internet Banking of SBI and Mobile Banking of SBI. SBI also waived off charges on Fund Transfer of up to Rs.1000.
