Several Private Schools in the Tricity to remain closed for April 7

Several schools in Tricity will remain closed today. As per the report, the decision, that has been taken by the school authorities to remain closed in Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali is to strengthen Shiksha Bachao Abhiyan rally. The report further mentions that the rally is being organized under the aegis of Delhi–based National Independent School’s Association (NISA).

Most Schools in Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali closed Today except these

It has been reported that several private schools in Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali will remain closed today – April 7. The step will support Shiksha Bachao Abhiyan rally. Most of the private schools in Tricity – Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali have unanimously decided to remain closed today

All the schools that are associated with the association that come function under the banners of Panchkula Private School’s Association (PPSA) and Independent Schools Association (ISA) and have decided to remain closed today -on April 7. Nevertheless, the private schools that have been designated as the centres for the CBSE (The Central Board of Secondary Education) board exams will be open. It has been conveyed to the Schools that the office may remain functional and they are free to even call the staff members like any other day at school.

List of schools that will remain closed and why?

It has been mentioned in the report that there are about 26 schools under PPSA (Panchkula Private School’s Association) in Panchkula and around 54 schools under ISA (Independent Schools Association). Most of the reputed schools such as Vivek High School, Sector 38-B, Chandigarh, St Anne’s Convent School and Saupin’s School, Sector 32, Chandigarh, Doon Public School, Sector 21 Panchkula, Hallmark School, Sector 15, Panchkula, St Kabir Public School, Sector 32, Chandigarh and other schools of repute.

Shiksha Bachao Abhiyan movement has been initiated by NISA (National Independent School Association) and the move is against government’s increasing interference in working of private schools. Though schools that are centres for board exams for class 12 shall remain open tomorrow, there will be no class on the School premises.

As part of the nationwide call, the private schools in Mohali, Chandigarh and Panchkula will remain closed today ie April 7, Saturday.
