Goswami Ganesh Dutta SD College (GGDSD) in Chandigarh was started on July 3, 1973 in the fond memory of Goswami Ganesh Dutta Ji, who imagined Chandigarh as a focal point of culture and saw it as a potential hub for Satanist activities. Prof. Roshan Lal Verma was the founder Principal of SD College Chandigarh, who dedicated his entire life for setting up the institution. The person passed +2 in any discipline with atleast 50% marks and has passed 10th exam having maths as one of the subjects is eligible for the course and the admission is taken through merit basis.

Admissions are on merit basis and the candidate must have passed 10+2 with 50% marks.

B.Sc (Medical)- 150 (Rs.20,000 per annum)

The minimum eligibility is 10+2 with at least 40% marks and must have passed at least 2 science subjects in qualifying exam out of the 3 elective subjects offered by the candidate. The admission criteria is on merit basis.
