Seven New IIM Campus are Soon Coming to Different Cities of India | Know Details

Union Cabinet has been all set to build 7 new Indian Institute of Management (IIMs) across India. On 5 September, Union Cabinet approved the establishment and operationalization of 7 IIMs in different states of India. Now aspiring Management students can apply for these 7 new IIMs for the higher studies as well. Although these IIMs will get their own campus by the year 2021.

In 2014 only cabinet approved 7 new Indian Institute of Management but till the time, they have not been approved with permanent campuses. Now in 2018, these 7 new IIMs have been sanctioned with the amount for permanent campuses to be constructed till 2021.

New IIMs Campus: Know the cities and Amount for the Construction

Union Cabinet has sanctioned a total amount of Rs. 3775.42 Crore for the setting up of total 7 new Indian Institute of Management in India. Whereas out of the total amount, Rs. 2804.09 crore will only be spent on the construction of the Permanent campuses. Here are the cities of India that are getting a new IIMs campus- Amritsar, Bodh Gaya, Sirmour, Jammu, Sambalpur, Vishakhapatnam and Nagpur.

Although these all Institutes have been operational since 2015 through a temporary campus. But now these 7 cities will get a permanent campus for the Indian Institute of Management and which will leads 20 permanent campuses for IIMs in various cities by 2021.

More details of New IIM Campus in 7 Indian Cities

According to various reports, all these 7 new Indian Institute of Management (IIM) will be constructed in an area of 60384 Square meters each. Even each of these IIMs campus will have infrastructure facilities for almost 6000 students. Although it has been also mentioned that these new IIMs will have to meet up their maintenance cost from the generation of internal funds only.

It has also been said that the construction of new IIMs will be completed by June 2021 in each city. Till the time candidates will have to attend the classes in the temporary campuses only.
