Om Shani Om a new reality show coming up with Sonakshi Sinha and Baba Ramdev as the judge. After Nach Baliye 8 alongside choreographer Terence Lewis and filmmaker Mohit Suri and Indian Idol Junior 2 with composers Vishal Dadlani and Salim Merchant, Sonakshi Sinha is up for another stint on TV. Sonakshi Sinha, 30-year-old actress will be back on small screen to judge a spiritual reality show with yoga guru Baba Ramdev.
The new show will be Om Shanti Om on ‘Life Ok’ channel, which is reportedly going to rename itself Star Bharat from Independence Day. Sonakshi Sinha will have yoga guru Baba Ramdev, singer composer Shekhar Ravjiani and singer Kanika Kapoor on the panel. All star cast began shooting on Tuesday at a Powai Studio. Ranveer Singh was the first celebrity on the show with Badshah and Mouni Roy as the guest performers.
Sonakshi Sinha & Baba Ramdev as Judge in new reality show
Om Shanti Om is a youth oriented show where contestants will be singing bhajans and devotional songs set to contemporary tunes. The show will have 14 participants and feature performances by stalwarts from the Bhajan music industry. Colosceum Media will showcase Om Shanti Om at the end of this month. Aparshakti Khurana said that Sonakshi is a perfect selection for this show as she has a great connection with youngsters.
Ramdev Baba made a guest appearance and taught Sonakshi few asanas on the concluding episode of Nach Baliye. Om Shanti Om will focus more on spirituality than the competition. The show will showcase Ramdev baba sharing insight and teaching with the contestants as well as the audience. Ramdev Baba will be part of only a few episodes of the show.
Sonakshi’s upcoming Bollywood films
Sonakshi said that she loves to sing and have also released a debut single “Ishqholic”, in 2015. Not also this, her spectacular performance was followed by her playback for the ditty “Rajj Rajj Ke” in AR Murugadoss’s Akira. On the Bollywood front, Sonakshi Sinha will be soon seen in Abhay Chopra Ittefaq with Sidharth Malhotra and Akshaye Khanna. Ittefaq is an official remake of Yash Chopra 1969 film by the same film. She is also working on Salman Khan Da Bang tour with Jacqueline Fernandez, Sooraj Pancholi, Prabhdheva and Daisy Shah, among others.
