Sony Xperia XZ2 compact is one very capable smartphone and if you have ever read our reviews for the previous compact models then you might understand why we speak that. The Xperia line of smartphones has taken a hit and there are a very small number of Sony fanboys that desperately wait for the new iteration like Sony Xperia XZ. The reason for this is that a lot of people actually like their unique approach, especially towards the compact line. Today we take a look at their newest product in the compact line – the Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact.
Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact: Features and Specifications
Starting things off with the display and you will see the Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact is not compact anymore. The screen is an FHD+ resolution with 18:9 aspect ratio like 2018 term of standards. However, don’t expect minimized bezels as they are pretty apparent both at the top and bottom. The chipset is a Snapdragon 845 on the Sony Xperia XZ2 compact like any other 2018 flagship and it is mated to 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage.
Coming to the cameras, a department which means a lot to most of the people still features a single lens unit. The rear camera of the Sony Xperia XZ2 compact is a 19MP lens with f/2.0 aperture. It can record 4K video up to 30 frames per second with HDR support. The front camera is a 23mm wide angle lens with a resolution of 5MP. Although not class-leading by any means, it should keep the occasional photographer pretty satisfied.
Battery on the Sony Xperia XZ2 compact is a 2870mAh unit with support for fast charging. Features like 3D scanning on both front and rear cameras are something that everyone can have some fun with.
Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact Price and Launch Date
Sony Xperia XZ2 has been listed on the company website but there has been no sight of the compact model. This is something that doesn’t sound very surprising though as the XZ1 compact too never made it to the country. However, the smaller screens are a favorite especially by the elderly or people with small hands and Sony should not omit the Xperia XZ2 this time around.
