Sony Launches XZ1 and XZ1 Compact With Side Mounted Fingerprint Sensor

To compete against the competition, Sony has launched two new smartphones at IFA 2017. After few leaks, Sony did the official launch of the Sony Xperia XZ1 and Sony Xperia XZ1 compact. Both the smartphones can easily be identified as Sony smartphones. Sony has come up with refined design, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 and a new camera exclusively for their new smartphones.

Display of Sony XZ1

Sony Xperia Z1 sports 5.2 inches full HD display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixel. The screen is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The smartphone comes with full metal frame and weight of 155gram. The smartphone features a fingerprint sensor on the home button.

Sony Xperia Z1 compact smartphone shares same specifications as Xperia Z1. Same Soc, Ram and Adreno 540 GPU. The smartphone has 4.6 inch HD display and resolution of 720 X 1280 pixels but doesn’t have HDR support. Xperia Z1 compact weights 140 gram. Both smartphones have been launched with worthy features such as 3D image sensing, Hi-Res audio, HDR display and MotionEye Camera.

Performance

Sony Xperia Z1 sports is powered by 64bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Soc. It is paired with 4GB of Ram and 64 GB of internal storage. The storage can be expanded up to 256GB. Talking about Sony Xperia Z1 compact, the smartphone has 32 GB of inbuilt storage which can be further expanded up to 256 GB using microSD card.

Camera of Sony XZ1 and XZ1 COmpact

Sony Xperia Z1 smartphone comes with Motion Eye 19 megapixel RS sensor rear camera, which is similar to company’s cyber shot cameras. Smartphone has a 13-megapixel front facing campers. The camera is amazing, it can capture 4k videos and slow motion videos at 960 fps. Sony Xperia Z1 compact has 19 megapixels rear camera and 18-megapixel camera for selfies. The smartphone will come along with 120-degree field view.

Battery

The newly launched Sony Xperia Z1 smartphone comes with a battery capacity of 2700mAh. The battery capacity is just sufficient but not so enhanced. Though device features water and dust resistant with an IP68 certification. Sony Xperia XZ1 compact will support WIfi and Volte features.

Sony Xperia XZ1 has amazing feature of 3D scanning mode. The camera can scan the object and user can save the file in 3D image format. The file can be transferred to the 3D printer or shared on social networking sites. Smartphones will be available in various colour variants like Black, blue, silver and pink. Both smartphones will be launched with Android 8.0 Oreo processor. The Sony Xperia XZ1 and Xperia XZ1 Compact are priced at Rs. 45,000 and Rs. 38,500 respectively.
