The veteran actress Sridevi starrer drama-thriller movie Mom has been released all over India yesterday. Upon release in around 1350 screens of the country, the much anticipated movie of the 80s iconic female superstar Mom saw a lukewarm response at the Indian box office on its very first day. Mom been released along with other two movies Guest In London and Spider-Man: Homecoming and all of the three saw 25% occupancy rate at the cinema halls. Up to a fairly decent start Mom was predicted to earn atleast 3 crore on its first opening day by the Financial Express.

The box office collection of the first day of the movie Mom has not yet been declared but being released at 1350 screens nationally and 456 screens internationally the movie is speculated to gross a fair sum of money. Released in almost 4 languages, Hindi, Malyalam, Telugu and Tamil the drama thriller movie see a fair amount of occupancy rate at the theaters. Mom has a very strong cast who have showcased their talents in acting world tremendously. From Sridevi to Akshay Khanna to Nawazuddin Siddiqui to two of the immensely talented actors from Pakistan Adnan Siddiqui and Sajal Ali.
The movie has received and is receiving good reviews by the critics who are rating Mom out of 5 stars, from 2.5 to 4 stars which is quite satisfactory. Some of them have really appreciated the plot of the movie and the acting skills of the cast. Off to a good start Mom movie will surely see more crowd at theaters for it in the upcoming days.

Centered around the word “MOM” and her role in a daughter’s life the movie touches a very sensitive issue of “forced sexual assault” on women prevalent in today’s world at a fair scale. The reviewers have different opinions about Mom movie and expressed them by saying-“the movie is very MOM (Sridevi) centric”, “the movie has very interesting twist and turns”, “the star cast has done an amazing job”, “the movie has conveyed its message both emotionally and morally well”.
So I guess upon seeing the reviews you guys can make out that Mom can be good watch for the whole family. And not to mention it has also received an U/A certificate by the Indian Censor Board with zero cuts. Mom has been directed by Ravi Udaywar, produced by Boney Kapoor and its music has been given by the Golden Globe winner, music director, A R Rehman.
