SSC has declared the final result for CGL exam 2016 today. SSC CGL is one of the most coveted examinations for those who wish to get a job in various Central posts and it is in August 2017 that the result for 2016 exam is being declared. It is almost after a year. Nearly 17 lakh candidates had registered for the exam in 2015 and the number of applications increased to 30 lakh people in 2017. The examination result of the most sought after SSC CGL 2016 Exam which was held last year to recruit candidates for various posts lying vacant with various departments of Government of India is out. Candidates can check out final result on official portal of SSC.
Final Merit List – SSC 2016
The final merit list has been prepared by taking into account the aggregate marks scored by a candidate in Tier-1, Tier-2 and Tier-3. Candidate had to qualify each of the three tiers separately. A total of 56169 candidates appeared for SSC CGL Tier III exam which was held on March 19, 2017. It was one-hour descriptive type exam. For certain posts, SSC conducted Tier IV exam and it comprised of Data Entry Skill Test (DEST) or Computer Proficiency Test (CPT).
The Staff Selection Committee is headquartered in Delhi and was established on November 4, 1975. The staff is recruited for various posts in ministries and department of the Government of India. Currently, there are seven regional offices at Allahabad, Delhi, Kolkata, Guwahati, Chennai, Bangalore and two sub regional offices at Raipur and Chandigarh.
Check SSC CGL 2016 Final Result
Candidates can check the result for SSC CGL 2016 by logging to the official site ssc.nic.in. Further candidates need to click on link flashing ‘Final Result of Combined Graduate Level Examination 2016’. Candidates will get PDF file containing the list of candidates who have qualified the exam. The list will have name and roll number of the candidate displayed in the file. All the candidates are requested to take out a print out of the file for future reference. SSC will also conduct the CGL 2017 from August onward. SSC has released admit cards for all CGL 2017 candidates. The admit cards have been released for all the regions namely eastern region, Madhya Pradesh region, western region, central region and north western region. SSC has released the CGL 2016 final result today.
