SSC CGL 2017 Tier 2 Exam Re-Scheduled In January 2018 | Check New Dates, Pattern, Marking Scheme & Other Details

A recent notification was released by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) in context to the SSC CGL 2017 Tier 2 Exam postponing its date. The SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam was supposed to be held in the month of November earlier with its first delay causing re-scheduling to December 2017 but has now been postponed yet again and will be conducted in January 2018. The SSC CGL 2017 Tier 2 Exam is an open-competitive written exam which is all set to be conducted in the month of January now. The recruitment process under SSC CGL 2017 Tier 2 Exam is for various ministries & departments.

The SSC CGL 2017 Tier 2 Exam is to be held in January 2018. The SSC CGL 2017 Tier 1 Exam was conducted previously in August 2017 and the result for the same has also been declared on October 30, 2017. The SSC CGL 2017 Tier 2 Exam is divided into 4 papers namely Tier I, II, III & IV. All these 4 papers deal with different subjects in the SSC CGL 2017 Tier 2 Exam like Quantitative Ability, English Language & Comprehension, Statistics as well as General Studies. Paper IV that is General Studies further deals with subjects like Finance & Economics.

The time allotted to each of the 4 papers in the SSC CGL 2017 Tier 2 Exam is 2 hours each whereas 40 minutes more in each Paper is allotted to the PwD candidates. The paper I & III that is Quantitative ability as well as statistics which contains 100 questions each. Paper II & IV, on the other hand, contain 200 questions each. The questions in the SSC CGL 2017 Tier 2 Exam are objective type questions with multiple choices. The candidates can either choose Hindi or English as their mode to appear for the SSC CGL 2017 Tier 2 Exam now re-scheduled again in January 2018.

All the 4 papers in the SSC CGL 2017 Tier 2 Exam are for 200 marks each. Negative marking while assessing the SSC CGL 2017 Tier 2 Exam is applicable as one-fourth of the total marks that the question carries. 0.25 negative marks for each wrong answer stated will be deducted from the score attained by the student in SSC CGL 2017 Tier 2 Exam in case the attempt becomes wrong. It is compulsory for the students who have already made it to the merit list of the SSC CGLE Tier-I 2017 to appear for the SSC CGL 2017 Tier 2 Exam. Whereas, the Tier 3 & Tier 4 SSC CGL 2017 Exam is given by candidates who wish to apply for the Statistical Investigator & Assistant Audit Officer respectively.

Announcing the fresh dates after the second time delay of the SSC CGL 2017 Tier 2 Exam, the test shall be conducted in an online mode from January 18, 2017 till January 21, 2018 now. Aspirants have now a sigh of relief to prepare for the SSC CGL 2017 Tier 2 Exam in an efficient manner due to subsequent delays and extensions caused by the Staff Selection Commission as a conducting authority of the SSC CGL 2017 Tier 2 Exam.
