SSC CGL Tier 2 Examination 2017 is the next big thing for the aspirants of the Combined Graduate Level Examination conducted by SSC this year in 2017. After appearing for the SSC CGLE 2017 Tier 1 exam this year in the month of August, the candidates who crack the same shall appear for the next level exam of SSC CGLE 2017 i.e. Tier 2 level. The tentative answer keys were officially released by Staff Selection Commission in September 2017 to give candidates an idea about the expected cut-off score and range of marks within which their scores in the SSC CGLE 2017 Tier 1 exam shall lie. SSC CGLE 2017 Tier 2 Exam 2017 | Know The Exam Pattern & Duration
The exam pattern of the SSC CGL 2017 Examination Tier 2 totally differs from the one which is the preliminary exam of the same, namely SSC CGL 2017 Examination Tier 1. The Tier 2 level of the SSC CGL 2017 Examination consists of mainly two sections called as ‘Quantitative Aptitude’ & ‘General English’. The number of questions of Quantitative aptitude in SSC CGL 2017 Examination Tier 2 is 100 carrying 2 marks each while for the English language section is 200 number of questions of 1 mark each. The total marks of both the sections contributing the maximum marks in the SSC CGL 2017 Examination Tier 2 is 400.
As far as SSC CGL 2017 Tier 2 Exam duration is concerned, it is for 2 hours of allotted time for each section. This means, the total duration of conducting the SSC CGL 2017 Examination Tier 2 is four hours. Also, this exam is not conducted on a single day as other SSC recruitment exams. The SSC CGL 2017 Examination Tier 2 is held for two consecutive days and is of objective type online test in nature.
SSC CGLE 2017 Tier 2 Exam 2017 | Tentative Dates & Syllabus
The tentative date of holding the SSC CGL 2017 Examination Tier 2 online test is towards November end from 27th November, 2017 onwards. Candidates get a time frame of atleast 3 months between the two tests of SSC CGL 2017 Examination Tier 1 and 2 respectively. As far as the syllabus of the SSC CGL 2017 Examination Tier 2 online computer based objective test is concerned, it is the same as the sections of quantitative aptitude and numerical ability in Tier 1 with slight change in terms of addition of topics in ‘General English’ section of SSC CGL 2017 Examination Tier 2 is concerned. The added portion is active & passive voices and narration part which was observed in the test papers of SSC CGL 2017 Examination Tier 1 this year anyhow.
Also, it is yet to be established via the result declaration of SSC CGL 2017 Examination Tier 1 on October 31, 2017 as to who all are eligible candidates who secured marks in the first level of SSC CGLE 2017 above the cut-off list of scores generated.
