SSC CGL 2017 Tier-2 exam five day concluded on February 22, 2018 at various exam centres located across the nation. The SSC online recruitment exam commenced from Feb 17 last week after suffering enormous amount of delays at the end of authorities. Anxiety struck students who had already cracked SSC CGL 2017 Tier-1 exam held in August last year eagerly awaited for Tier-II to be conducted by the Staff Selection Commission.
But, the way the code of conduct was violated and miscreant activities were reported day after day of holding the SSC CGL 2017 Tier-II exam, the entire scenario has shaken aspirants off from their complacency. Series of violations of code of conduct of the SSC CGL 2017 Tier-II exam and the Commission’s delayed schedule with consistent re-examination has left students bewildered. The SSC CGL 2017 Tier-II Day 1 i.e. on Feb 17, 2018 reported miscreant activities and paper bits with scribbled solutions of Quantitative Aptitude question were found in a toilet at a Delhi centre. In yet another incident, on Day :4 of holding the prestigious SSC CGL 2017 Tier-II exam i.e. on February 21, 2018 the test schedule was hampered. The Commission delayed the schedule of the exam and as a result students had to face the consequences. Candidates encountered various inconveniences which reflected in their attempt of questions.

In order to mitigate the same, Staff Selection Commission decided to cancel the SSC CGL 2017 Tier-II exam Paper-1 of Quantitative Aptitude and re-conduct the same. The Combined Graduate Level Examination is conducted to recruit candidates into various government departments every year by SSC online. The technical glitch suffered with incomplete download of question papers in SSC CGL 2017 Tier-II exam on its Day:4 of holding the same, the students protested against the conduct.
The Commission in consultation with other nine regional/zonal centres keeping in view the representations submitted by students who took the SSC CGL 2017 Tier-II exam that day, the test shall be cancelled and re-scheduled. It is notified to candidates that the Commission shall conduct the SSC CGL 2017 Tier-II exam on March 9, 2018 at 10:30 am at various centres again.
Also, SSC CGL 2017 Tier-II exam would only be conduced for Paper-1 i.e. Quantitative Aptitude and only for those candidates who previously took the test on Feb 21st. However, the Commission explicitly states that one of centres in Patna shall have both the Papers in SSC CGLE 2017 Tier-II, Paper-1 and Paper-II re-scheduled. The admit cards and venue details about the SSC CGL 2017 Tier-II re-exam shall be intimidated to the candidates soon.
