SSC CGL 2018 Exam For Group B & Group C Posts, Update on Syllabus For Tier 1 Exam

SSC CGL 2018: The SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam Tier 1 exam 2018 will begin from July 25th. The Tier 1 of the CGL 2018 exam will begin from 25 July and will end on August 20. Every year CGL exam is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission for the various Group B and Group C Posts.

The SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam is conducted in 4 tiers – Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3 and Tier 4. The First two tiers of the CGL Exam are the Computer Based Test and the third Tier of the exam is a descriptive test. The Tier 4 of the CGL exam is a skill test. All the candidates who applied for the SSC CGL 2018 exam will go for the CGL Tier 1 exam in the month of July.

The candidates who will clear the Tier 1 will be called for the Tier 2 exam. Tier 2 exam of the CGL Exam is a computer-based test with different papers. The Tier 2 of the SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam will have 4 papers and the first 2 papers are common for all and rest two papers depends on the posts applied for. The candidates who will clear the Tier 2 will go for the Tier 3 exam. Here are the details of syllabus for the SSC Combined Graduate Level  Exam Tier 1.

SSC CGL 2018 Tier 1 Syllabus

In the Tier 1 paper of the Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level Exam 2018, there will be questions from the Subjects – General Awareness, General Intelligence & Reasoning, English Comprehension & Quantitative Aptitude. Each subject will have a total of 25 questions and the maximum marks for each subject will be 50 marks. Candidates will get total 60 minutes to attempt the paper of CGL Tier 1.

In the General Intelligence Paper of SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam, there will be questions from verbal and non-verbal type. This part will have questions based on similarities, differences, space visualization, problem-solving, analysis, Relationship concepts, figure classification, Venn Diagrams, Small & Capital letters/ numbers coding, decoding and classification, Embedded Figures and General Intelligence.

The General Awareness paper of the SSC CGL 2018 exam will include questions based on current events, History, Culture, Geography, General Policy, Scientific Research. This test will also have questions related to India and neighboring countries. The Quantitative section of the Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level Exam will include questions that will test the ability of the use of numbers and number sense of the candidate. This section will have questions based on decimals, fractions, relationships, Profit, Loss, Time and Work, Circle, Prism and many more.
