SSC CGL 2018 Exam For Group B & C Posts, Check Examination Pattern & Other Details

SSC CGL 2018: From July 25th, SSC will conduct the SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam 2018 Tier 1. Before the SSC CGL 2018, the Staff Selection Commission will also conduct the SSC CGL 2017 Tier 3 (Descriptive Exam) and SSC CHSL 2017 Tier 2 exam. The SSC CGL 2017 Tier 3 exam is on 8th July while the SSC CHSL Tier 2 exam is on 15th July. Here are the details of the CGL 2018 Tier 1 exam.

SSC CGL 2018 Exam Details 

Every Year Staff Selection Commission conducts the SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam for the selection of the candidates for various Group B and Group C posts in various ministries and departments of India. All the candidates who have completed Graduation can fill the CGL application form.

This year the application process for SSC CGL 2018 started on 5th May and closed on 5th June 2018. The Tier 1 exam of CGL 2018 is from 25th July. Staff Selection Commission conducts the CGL exam in 4 Tiers. The First Tier of the CGL exam is a Computer Based Exam. The Second Tier of the exam is also a computer-based exam. The third tier of the Combined Graduation Level Exam is descriptive paper and Tier 4 is a skill test.

The candidates who clear the first tier of the Staff Selection Commission CGL exam 2018 will go for the Tier 2. To go for the Tier 3, candidates will have to clear the Tier 2. And at the last, there is a Tier 4 and qualified candidates of Tier 3 will go for Tier 4. Tier 3 is a descriptive paper and Tier 4 is a skill test.

SSC CGL 2018 Examination Pattern of Tier 1 & Tier 2

The SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam Tier 1 exam is a computer-based exam (CBE or CBT). The candidates will have to attempt the exam on Computer. In Tier 1, there will be questions from 4 different subjects. There will be 25 questions from General Intelligence and Reasoning, 25 questions from English Comprehension, 25 questions from Aptitude and 25 questions from General Awareness. Candidates will get 60 minutes to attempt the paper.

The Tier 2 of the SSC CGL 2018 exam is also a Computer Based Exam/test. There will be 4 papers and these papers depend on the selection of the posts. Paper 1 is Quantitative Aptitude, Paper 2 is Engish Language, Paper 3 is Statistics and Paper 4 is General Studies. Candidates will get 120 minutes for each paper. Paper 1 and paper 2 are compulsory for all posts. Paper 3 is for the post of JSO and Paper 4 is for the post of Assistant Audit Officer.
