SSC CGL 2018 Exam | Update on Mode of Selection & Last Date For Application

SSC CGL 2018: The online application process for the Staff Selection Commission CGL 2018 Exam is going and all candidates who want to apply for the SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam 2018 can apply online on the official website. Staff Selection Commission released the notification for CGL 2018 on May 5 and the application process also started on the same date. Here are the details of Selection for the SSC CGL 2018 Exam. SSC CGL 2018 Mode of Selection (Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3 & Tier 4)

SSC CGL Tier 1: The first stage of the SSC CGL 2018 exam is the Tier 1. The Tier I of the Combined Graduate Level Examination is a CBT (Computer Based Test). The Tier 1 will have 100 total questions of 200 marks. Candidates will get 1-hour time duration to attempt the Tier 1. The Tier 1 exam will have questions from English Language, Aptitude, Reasoning and General Awareness. To go for the Tier 2 of the CGL exam, candidates need to qualify the Tier 1.

SSC CGL Tier 2: The Tier 2 of the Staff Selection Commission CGL Exam is also a CBT exam and all those candidates who will clear the SSC CGL Tier 1 exam will go for the Tier 2 exam. This Tier will have 4 Papers. The Paper 1 of the SSC CGL Tier 2 will be of Quantitative Abilities. Total 100 questions will be there of 200 marks and time duration will be 2 hours.

The Paper 2 of SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam 2018 will be of English Language and Comprehension. This paper will have 200 questions of 200 marks and time duration will be 2 hours. Paper 3 will be of Statistics and this section will have 100 questions of 200 marks and 2 hours time duration. Paper 4 will be of General Studies and there will be 100 questions of 200 marks and 2 hours time duration.

SSC CGL Tier 3: The Tier 3 of the SSC CGL 2018 exam will be a descriptive paper (pen and paper mode). All candidates who clear the Tier 2 of the CGL exam will go for the Tier 3. The maximum marks for the Tier 3 are 100 marks and time duration will be 60 minutes.

SSC CGL Tier 4: SSC CGL Tier 4 is a skill test. In this, the typing skills of the candidates will be checked. This is not for all posts and only for the post in which typing skills are required. And finally, the document verification process will be held.

SSC CGL 2018 Last Date of Application

The last date for the application as per Staff Selection Commission official website is 4th June. All candidates are advised to fill the SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam 2018 application form on or before the last date. To recall, the online application process started on May 5th. The Exam date for the CGL 2018 Tier 1 is 25th July 2018 to 20th August 2018. The exam date for Tier 2, Tier 3 and tier 4 will be notified later on.
