SSC CGL 2018 (Tier I & II) Exam Syllabus – Update on Subject Wise Marks Distribution & More

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) after the notification for Combined Graduate Level (CGL) exam 2018, has also revealed the subject-wise syllabus as well as marks distribution. The application process for Tier I exam of SSC CGL 2018 has been started from 5 May & will end by 4 June. Although application process has been ongoing for SSC CGL 2018 for the time, but here’s some more information regarding the same.

SSC CGL 2018: Tier I Subject-Wise Syllabus & marks distribution

If you have applied for SSC CGL Tier I exam for the year 2018 that is expected to be held in the month of, here’s the subject wise syllabus that you should follow to score well in the test.

Reasoning includes- Mirror Images, water image, cubes & dice, paper cutting & folding, series, pattern completion, counting of figures, figure formation & analysis.

General Intelligence- Arithematic reasoning, Matric, Analog, Classification, Alphabet test, Blood relation, Coding-decoding, missing number, distance direction test.

General Awareness Syllabus- History, Current Affairs, Indian Politics, Science & Technology, Geography, Economy & Finance, Static GK.

Quantitative Aptitude- Arithematic will include Partnership, LCM & HCF, CI & SI, Average, Percentage, Boat & Stream, Ratio & Proportion, Speed-time & work, Profit-loss & discount. On the other hand, advanced maths will include- Standard identities, trigonometry, height & distance, geometry, data interpretation, histogram, bar diagram & pie chart, mensuration. It has been mentioned as the most scoring part of SSC CGL 2018.

English– Syllabus of Englis in SSC CGL Tier I 2018 exam will be divided into 3 different parts i.e- Vocabulary (spelling errors, one-word substitution, idioms & phrases, synonyms & antonyms), Grammar (fill in the blacks, Para jumbles, error finding, voice & narration) & Reading Comprehension (passage & close test).

SSC CGL Tier II 2018: Syllabus & Subject-wise Marks distribution

After clearing the Tier I exam, candidates will be able to qualify for SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam Tier II 2018. Here’s the syllabus for the SSC CGL Tier 2 exam 2018-

Quantitative Aptitude- The paper 1 of SSC CGL Tier II exam 2018 has been divided into 2 parts i.e Arithematic (Partnership, LCM & HCF, CI & SI, Average, Percentage, Boat & Stream, Ratio & Proportion, Speed-time & work, Profit-loss & discount) & Advanced Maths (trigonometry, height & distance, geometry, co-ordinate-geometry, data interpretation).

English Language & Comprehension- The syllabus of SSC CGL Exam has been divided into 3- Grammar (fill in the blacks, Para jumbles, error finding, sentence improvement, direct & indirect, active & passive), Reading Comprehension (passage & close test) & Vocabulary (spelling errors, one-word substitution, idioms & phrases, synonyms & antonyms).
