SSC CGL 2018 Tier 1 Exam Dates To Be Out Soon | Check Exam Pattern & Other Details

SSC CGL 2018: On 5th of May 2018, Staff Selection Commission released the official notification for the SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam 2018. The Commission closed the application process for the CGL Exam 2018 on 4th June 2018. But after that SSC postponed the exam dates for the Tier 1 and till now there is no update from the side of SSC regarding the new exam dates. Here are the details regarding the SSC CGL 2018 Tier 1 Exam Dates.

SSC CGL 2018 Tier 1 New Exam Dates

As per the official notification of Staff Selection Commission, the exam was scheduled to held from 25th July 2018 to 20th August 2018. But SSC postponed the exam dates and said in an official notification that the new exam dates for the SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam 2018 will be announced soon. Almost three months have passed and candidates are still waiting for the exam dates for the Tier 1 of CGL 2018 exam.

It is expected that the Staff Selection Commission will release the notice regarding the new exam dates for the SSC CGL Tier 1 this month. But this is also not sure as there is no update yet regarding the SSC CPO exam 2018. The Commission also postponed the exam dates for the SSC CPO exam 2018 this year.

SSC CGL Exam Pattern

Staff Selection Commission conducts the SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam every year for the selection of candidates for various Group B and Group C posts. This exam is for all Graduate candidates. The selection in the exam is based on the performance in 4 different Tiers i.e Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3 and Tier 4.

Tier 1 and Tier 2 of the SSC CGL Exam is a CBT exam and will have MCQ’s. Tier 3 is a Descriptive Test and Tier 4 is a Skill Test. Tier 1 of the SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam will have 100 questions from General Awareness, Aptitude, English Language and Reasoning & General Intelligence.

Tier 2 of the SSC CGL Exam is also an MCQ Test and this section will have total 4 papers depending on the post selected by the candidates. The questions in Tier 2 will be from Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, Statistics and General Studies. Tier 3 exam is a descriptive test and Staff Selection Commission conducts this exam for the candidates who have cleared the Tier 2 exam and Tier 1 exam. Tier 4 is a skill test exam.
