SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam Result by March End | Tier 3 New Date Still Not Out

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has been facing a lot of trouble and difficulty for some time now in conducting the recruitment exams for various posts. Recently SSC delayed the Multi Tasking Exam and now the Staff Selection Commision has delayed the Tier 3 of the CGL (Combined Graduate Level Recruitment). There is no particular reason explained by the SSC for the reason of delay in the examination. It is speculated that the irregularities in the conduct of Tier 1 and Tier II exam of CGL are the reason behind this.

SSC CGL 2017 Tier-3 Exam Date Delayed

The exam dates for the SSC Tier 3 have been extended further by the Commission and the earlier this week the Commission has also released an official notification regarding this on the official website. SSC CGL Tier 2 exam results have not been declared yet and this can also be the reason behind the date of Tier 3 exam extension from 31st March.

SSC CGL 2018 exam began with the Tier 1 examination last year. The SSC CGL tier 1 exam was held in the month of August 2017. Out of the 15,43,418 candidates appeared in the Tier 1 exam of CGL only 1,89,843 candidates qualified the Tier 1 exam. All the SSC CGL Tier 1 qualified candidates appeared for the Tier 2 exam. The Tier 2 exam of SSC CGL was held on February 17 to February 22, 2018.

The tier 2 exam faced a lot of irregularities. First, it was reported that the mathematics paper has been leaked on Social Media. Secondly, the online exam was not conducted well. SSC termed all these reports baseless and ensure all that the Tier 2 exam has been conducted well. Now some of the candidates are waiting for the re-examination. And some of the candidates are preparing for the Tier 3 examination.

SSC CGL Tier 3 Exam

SSC CGL Tier 3 is a descriptive paper and it will be held in paper and pen mode. Candidates will have to attempt the exam in 60 minutes. The exam will be of 100 marks and there will be questions on essay writing, application, letter writing etc. All the candidates who will qualify the Tier 3 exam will be called for the Tier 4 exam. The SSC CGL Tier 4 is a Skill Test exam. The tier 4 will only be held for the post of Tax Assistant. The data entry speed of the candidates will be tested in the test. 200 Key depression in 15 minutes is the qualifying criteria for the test.
