The SSC CGLE 2017 Tier-II Exam pattern is on the lines of the SSC CGLE 2017 Tier-I exam which was the preliminary exam with a higher number of questions and marks allotted to each section. The sub-division in the SSC CGLE 2017 Tier-II Exam is same as Tier-I i.e. division into four sub parts as Paper-1,2,3 and 4. Each paper is allotted a particular subject with assigned weightages to each having fixed number of questions in the SSC CGLE 2017 Tier-II Exam. Paper-1 of SSC CGLE 2017 Tier-II Exam consists of Quantitative Aptitude section of difficulty level of 10th or 12th level questions while Paper-2 has English language section of +2 level difficulty.
The Paper-3 of the SSC CGLE 2017 Tier-II Exam is of Statistics subject upto the graduation level of difficulty while sub-parts are available in Paper-4 as Finance & Accounting and Economics & Governance. The Paper-4 shall be of same difficulty level as that of Paper-3 in the SSC CGLE 2017 Tier-II Exam this year.
SSC CGL Tier-II Exam 2017 | Check Marking Scheme & Number Of Questions Details
The marking scheme adopted for the SSC CGLE 2017 Tier 2 Exam ensures negative marking of some order in each section which varies as per the Paper appeared for. The Paper-1 of Quantitative Aptitude shall carry maximum marks of 200 consisting of 100 questions carrying 2 marks each.
SSC CGLE 2017 Tier-II Exam Paper-2 consists of the English Language section of 200 questions carrying 1 mark each, making it a section of 200 marks. The Paper-3 & 4 shall consist of 100 questions each carrying net 200 marks wherein the Paper-4 shall encounter further sub-division into 4(A) and 4(b) sections. The SSC CGLE 2017 Tier-II Exam Paper-4 (A) of Finance & Accounting consists of 40 questions carrying 80 marks while 4(b) of Economics & Governance carrying 60 questions of 120 marks making a sum of 200 marks of the entire section.
The weightage assigned to the negative marking adopted for the SSC CGLE 2017 Tier-II Exam is 1/4th of the total marks of each question. Therefore, Paper 1, 3 and 4 has 0.5 marks as their negative marks followed by Paper 2 of English language having 0.25 marks deduction as its sectional negative marking scheme. Candidates preparing for the upcoming SSC CGLE 2017 Tier-II Exam shall take good care of these details while attempting the SSC CGLE 2017 Tier-II Exam in December 2017.
